INSOL’s mission with its Member Associations is to take the leadership role in international turnaround, insolvency and related credit issues; facilitate the exchange of information and ideas; and, encourage greater international co-operation and communication amongst the insolvency profession, credit community and related constituencies. There are currently more than 44 Member Associations with over 10,000 professionals participating as members of INSOL International. INSOL’s Regional Conference is the annual event for practitioners from every continent to meet and learn about developments in various jurisdictions.  As the global voice of the profession, INSOL is uniquely positioned to bring together delegates and speakers to share knowledge via its excellent educational programming and networking opportunities. The 2016 program will continue the momentum from INSOL’s highly successful 2015 conference in San Francisco. In addition, a Small Practice Issues meeting will be taking place prior to the formal program to discuss matters of particular concern to small practices, ongoing research, and to facilitate networking among this group of professionals. Mrs. Maha K. Al-Ghunaim, Vice-Chairman and Group CEO of Global Investment House, a prominent regional asset management and investment house, will deliver the opening keynote address. She is recognized as a role model for Arab women and women in the Islamic world, and the Wall Street Journal had named her on its 50 Women to Watch list. On behalf of CAIRP (and Canada), I am proud to serve on the Board of INSOL and will be attending pre-Conference Board meetings, the Small Practice Issues Meeting, and the full Program.
