Diversity & Inclusion

The Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) and the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB) believe that a diverse and inclusive Licensed Insolvency Trustees (LIT) profession with a broad range of skills and perspectives may better meet the complex needs of the financially burdened Canadian population it serves. Both CAIRP and the OSB remain committed to fostering and advocating for increased diversity and inclusion within the LIT profession.

CAIRP and the OSB are pleased to announce the publication of the OSB/CAIRP Guide to Promote Diversity and Inclusion - Best Practices and Resources to support Licensed Insolvency Trustees (LITs) and invite you to consult the guide and consider how you can apply the best practices and resources within your organizations.

The guide is the result of ongoing collaboration between CAIRP and the OSB and follows the June 18, 2021 joint statement acknowledging the importance of improving representativeness in the Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) profession, and the commitment to develop resources for LITs to increase diversity and inclusion within their organizations.
