Job Description / Duties

Main Job Duties:
• Conduct initial consultations with clients over phone/video or in-person
• Identify client needs and recommend solutions we provide
• Preparation of sign-up documents
• Administering all aspects of a bankruptcy and/or a proposal engagement
• Filing new estates and all estate administration forms
• Preparation of creditor packages
• Issuing stay of proceeding notices
• Reviewing proofs of claim and knowing how they should be handled
• Administering meeting of creditors
• Preparing automatic discharges
• Preparing Section 170 reports
• Preparing court documents including the Trustee’s Supplementary Report and draft orders
• Preparing court package for Trustee’s appearance at court
• Dealing with discharge notices
• Being able to communicate effectively with creditors, debtors and various third parties
• Other duties as required

Qualifications / Required Skills

Experience and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of consumer-focused insolvency estate administrator experience
• Experience in Ascend, Microsoft Office and CaseLine
• Very detailed oriented
• Effective organizational skills to manage a busy workload and know what is time sensitive
• CIRP Estate Administrators Certificate and Qualified Insolvency Counsellor
• Team player that can train staff
• Experience in banking would be an asset
