Sandy Lyons

Professional Profile:

Sandy has over 35 years of experience in assisting consumers and businesses obtain financial fresh starts under the provisions of the BIA and is semi-retired and works on a contract basis for LIT firms.

Sandy is a CPA-CA, CIRP, CFE, Licensed Insolvency Trustee in Southern Alberta. He has spent the last 25 years focused on small, owner-managed business and consumer insolvency. In his spare time, Sandy supports not for profit organizations in his community by fundraising, volunteering and sharing his professional expertise. In the past, Sandy has been a Director and President of the Alberta Association of Insolvency Restructuring Professionals, Director and Board Chair of the Family Centre Society of Southern Alberta, and Director of the Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association, Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Insolvency Foundation, and Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta. Sandy is currently dedicating his volunteer time to the education of financial literacy. He is an active volunteer with the CPA Canada Financial Literacy program as a presenter and has had appearances in local media discussing the topic as a member of the Speaker's Bureau.
