The Trouble with Timeshares

In this session, our panel of experts discuss the complex Carriage Hills case. They will provide an overview of the nature of the case, the development of a unique order given the fact that the Applicants were not-for profit entities who weren’t insolvent, as well as the combination of two resorts into one process. They will also discuss the logistical issues faced with having over 11,000 stakeholders during a pandemic, and much more.

About Brad

Brad Newton has over 25 years of experience in all types of insolvency and restructuring including bankruptcy, private and court appointed receiverships, BIA proposals and CCAA applications. His industry and company experience ranges from small owner-managed businesses to large multi-national corporations in industries ranging from construction to agricultural to automotive parts and other manufacturing. Brad began his career with KPMG Inc. and then later at BDO Canada Ltd., where he became a partner in their corporate restructuring group. Brad now works for RBC in their special loans group in Toronto.
