Job Description / Duties

Bromwich+Smith has an exciting opportunity for an Estate File Control Specialist to join our Insolvency Administration Team. Reporting to the Estate Manager, the Estate File Control Specialist manages and oversees the receipt of new client insolvency estate documents, ensure proper files are created, distributed and e-filed, and counselling sessions are scheduled for clients. The Estate File Control Specialist will be part of an effective team built around a client-centric delivery model.
As an Estate File Control Specialist with Bromwich+Smith, you will own the following:
+ Complete reviews of all new estate files in accordance with Bromwich+Smith Best Practices and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA).
+ Provide supplemental documentation such as Garnishee letters to debtor’s payroll department/creditor/court/et al.
+ Ensure all Estate File Tasks are completed daily, and the task engine is cleared.
+ Act as an initial point of contact for new clients, manage and oversee the scheduling of client counselling session (CS) appointments in Appointment Plus (AP) and monitor files for compliance with counselling processes.
+ File all soft copies into appropriate IPS files.
+ Review and complete all Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) scorecards to ensure compliance with BSI best practices and policies.
+ Cover reception during breaks and vacations.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Knowledge & Skills:
+ You have a High School Diploma or GED; having an Office Administration or Business Administration Diploma is a definite asset. + You have at least 1 year experience in a similar or related role. + You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel, and internet applications with a strong aptitude for learning new computer programs.
+ You are familiar with phone systems.
Nice To Have:
+ Working knowledge of appointment scheduling software.
+ Insolvency experience.
