Job Description / Duties

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Consumer Proposal Administrator to join our team at our North York Office. In this role, the ideal candidate will provide superior administrative support for the Consumer Proposal file administration process.

Major Responsibilities

• Review sign-up documents for accuracy and policy compliance
• File documents with Official Receiver (“OR”)
• Monitor proofs of claim for negative or positive votes
• Issue stays of proceedings notices
• Prepare mailings to creditors
• Monitor file status and scheduling meeting of creditors as required
• Preparation of documents for meeting of creditors
• Negotiate proposals and obtain necessary information/documentation
• Chair meetings of creditors
• Day to day contact and issue resolution with clients and creditors
• Monitor estates for deemed annulments
• Preparation of annulment notices
• Preparation of Interim Dividends
• Preparation of Certificate of Full Performance

Qualifications / Required Skills

Education

• University Degree or College Diploma
• Insolvency Administrator Certificate would be an asset

Qualifications/Experience

• Insolvency administration experience would be considered an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Great communication skills to speak effectively with staff and other third parties
• Strong organizational skills to organize workload
• Proven background dealing with attention to detail and multi-tasking
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player
