Zaki Alam, CPA, CA, CIRP, LIT (Licensed Insolvency Trustee) Edmonton, Alberta Zaki is a Senior Vice President at MNP Ltd in their Insolvency and Restructuring Services department. He is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee and Chartered Public Accountant and has extensive experience in both consumer and corporate insolvency restructuring for over 20 years. Zaki specializes in working with individuals and proprietorships through creditor proposals, bankruptcies, debt repayment negotiations, protection of assets and wage and financial counseling. Zaki has become a recognized expert on consumer financial issues and is regularly sought out by television (CBC, Global, CTV), radio (CBC, Ched630, Talk 880) and various web and printed media for comments about personal finance topics.

Zaki is a Board or committee member of: • National Board member of the CAIRP (Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals) the national Association for LIT’s • Board member and Past President of the Alberta Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (AAIRP), • Past board member of Money Mentors, the only Alberta-based, not-for-profit credit counselling agency • Alberta Bankruptcy Practice Committee, a liaison group composed of selected Trustees, lawyers, Superintendent of Bankruptcy and the Court of the Queens Bench.
