Job Description / Duties

Main Job Duties:

· Preparing sign-up documents
· Filing new estates and all estate administration forms
· Issuing stay of proceeding notices as required
· Reviewing and entering proofs of claim
· Administering all/most aspects of a consumer bankruptcy engagement, including but not limited to:
o Monitoring duties of a bankrupt;
o Monitoring monthly income reporting and determining if surplus income payments are required;
o Monitoring status of and completing mandatory counselling sessions
· Being able to communicate effectively with creditors, debtors and various third parties
· Other insolvency estate and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Experience and Qualifications:

· Minimum of 1 year of consumer-focused bankruptcy administrator experience
· Excellent customer service experience
· Ability to work in a fast-past environment
· Proven team player within a professional office
· Experience with Ascend and Microsoft Office
· Experience in administering bankruptcy estates is an asset
· Completion of Insolvency Counsellor’s course is an asset

Additional Information

This is a full-time in-person position located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
